WHICH REMINDS ME!:
I was at a hair appointment on Tuesday and a hairstylist from across the hall came bounding into the room, exclaiming, "I thought that was you!" I recognized him as Kyle (I remember his Starbucks drink but won't include it, despite it being a typical form of identification for me), a very now-and-then customer at my store. He and I have always had very chipper conversations, possibly because I was the only barista who ever remembered him when he came in. We talked for a few minutes, a bit awkwardly (me getting my hair colored, he in a grossly oversized black smock), before he finally returned to his client. After that I saw Creepy-Pedestrian-Man-with-Sunglasses-Who-Watches-the-Girls-from-the-Corner walking by the salon. I mentioned him to my hairstylist and was surprised to see him this far from my store. "Maybe he's following you," she said. "That would be hard for him to do considering I have a car and he doesn't." If I could remember all the customer sightings I've had this week I'd gladly list them here (chalk it up to my endless fatigue). I've noticed a sharp increase in such sightings lately and it's been kind of refreshing, like I'm some sort of anonymous social butterfly because I work at a Starbucks and get around town enough that I bump into people in grocery stores and such. Now that I think about it I guess it happens more than I realize...I guess I probably do need a new job. Or...sleep.
