NAVY THREAD AND A TIN OF GUM
Merideth and I spent a good portion of the evening discussing Halloween costume ideas. I am still in love with the idea of going as a concept instead of a thing or person, but even so all we came up with is stuff like an old photograph, narcissism, "a puzzled look," consumerism, and Tara Reid. I found some website that has the most insanely awful costume ideas you could ever imagine did or didn't exist. Ready to check them out? Here you go.
I had the most deliciously wonderful nap today. And I've been reading The Chronicles of Narnia in no particular order and eating up the way C.S. Lewis describes situations so well that one knows exactly the feeling the people in the stories are experiencing. I particularly enjoy the descriptions of the weather or scenery. It makes me want to be there. It makes me want to swim and then put on something soft and fuzzy, or explore a forest, or talk to friends by a big fire, or eat really delicious food, or sleep outdoors on a lazy summer day while a cool breeze floats by. The way he writes is like he's just telling a story he has completely memorized and I love the offhand comments he throws in. I'm loving every second of these books all over again! If you haven't read them before, you should.
I've started taking photos again lately but I can't find my USB cord to upload them and see how crappy they look. I have the crappiest camera ever but I'm not going to prioritize spending 800 bucks on the one I really want. At least not any time soon. I don't know, maybe I will. MAYBE.
