GOOD THINGS IN THE MIDDLE!
Have you ever had scrambled eggs at IHOP? If you have, you know why cooking scrambled eggs at home never cut it. UNTIL NOW. I managed to get the absolute perfect texture and the buttery taste (emphasis on taste--I didn't use butter!) that is the IHOP signature. Heaven! Now my gag reflex can take a break.
Today I cleaned the laundry room and did some much needed reorganization of cleaning products/light bulbs/laundry detergents. After opening the window to vacuum out all the cobwebs and dead moths, I discovered that there was a really awesome breeze coming in. I was hesitant to leave the window open though because of wasting air conditioning and so forth. Until my mom pointed out that the laundry room's air vent is completely closed and it has basically no circulation anyway! So that window is still open. The thing that really struck me was the smell of the air--took me right back to April in the early-90s. We always opened the windows in my childhood home and the air always smelled so good, that cool, spring air. I'm loving the scent of it tonight.
