It's okay if you call me Jennet.

Recently I stumbled upon the creature known as baby donkey or "Young male donkeys can either be referred to as a 'baby jack' or a male foal. A young female donkey can be referred to as a 'baby jenny (or jennet)' or a female foal."

Marni ingeniusly offsets her shiny fur coat by standing near a bright red fence.

Few creatures can make strolling through a muddy dropping-strewn pen look as tearjerkingly cute as Ralph does.

Mignon shows off his good looks against his favorite orange farm Jeep.

Nigel is so cute. So mysteriously strange looking. So baby-donkey-close-up.

Aingeru moments before being stamped with "100% PURE" and shipped to my brand-new donkey playpen.

Jordi and the offical Baby Donkey Stance. This is to convince the owners you're really only a few hours old so they won't try to ride you or sell you so soon.

Barney takes a few moments after dinner to reflect on the complexities of baby donkey life.

Francois demonstrates his fresh-from-the-womb flexibility and stamina while unwittingly demonstrating his mind-numbing ability to be cute.

Sally, the most compliant of Jack's donkeys, gets her calm demeanor from her curly bangs.

Bingo spends some quality time with his mommy, a garden hose, and some wire fencing.

Woebegone Ainsley after being taunted by the other baby donkeys for having the "whitest" nose. They're all cute but not necessarily cute on the inside!

Ainsley manages to get her hoofs onto the farm donkey leash and punish her tormenter, Benito, accordingly.

Magnus likes nothing better than some solitude sniffing the droppings in the hay.

Philo just before his escape across the grassy knoll and into my arms.

I know, kid! I KNOW!!
