SHOCK!: IT REALLY HAPPENED, pt. 1

I. It was nighttime and I was saw the exhaust coming out of a mysterious truck's tailpipe. The truck was gunmetal grey, clean and shiny; the windows were tinted almost black. The smoke looked heavy, pouring out onto the ground and sprawling out like an ominous storm cloud. This scene made me think I was in a movie.

II. I stopped at a crossroad just in time to see a pink balloon breeze past me. It had just enough helium left to keep it about three inches above the ground. Balloons always make me sad because they're so poignant when they're sailing away into the heavens but then I secretly know they're going to pop or run out of steam at some point, ending their exciting journey while no one takes notice.
