HE MAKES ME WANT TO WRITE POEMS HE DESERVES

Today I dug through Lindsey's room and found two of my shirts I haven't worn since last summer, most likely because they disappeared. Now I'm washing them so I can maybe wear one (or both--why not!) of them tomorrow.

I'm trying to grasp the reality of next weekend: 9 times zones away, bitterly cold weather, snow on the ground, me in layer-upon-layer of clothing trying to keep warm while walking long distances across a crime-ridden city where everyone will view me as an American tourist-target whether I bring any jewelry or valuables with me or not. I don't know who I will meet or what to expect at all, really. But it will be a great experience I'm sure and I'll definitely take photos. The sucky part is having to go buy warm clothes/good walking shoes because I don't have any to take with me yet. I also don't have any spending money or extra cash at all. My dad says he'll cover that but knowing how frugal he is I might be shipped off with 100 bucks in my pocket (can you imagine!). Geez, why am I still typing this.

One thing that has been driving me crazy: What in the world am I supposed to eat for breakfast if I hate just eating sugary carbs (cereal/pastries/donuts/pop-tarts/waffles/pancakes/muffins/scones/etc) at the start of the day? How in the world can one be practical and creative with breakfast? I can handle lunch and dinner but breakfast has always eluded me when it comes to dazzling my taste buds while satisfying my stomach (for several hours, no less).
